31 March 2014 – Today, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) issued an advertisement inviting nominations to fill the vacancy of a Justice in the Constitutional Court of South Africa. The vacancy arose following the retirement of Justice Thembile Skweyiya in May 2014.
In terms of the advertisement:
“Nominations must be accompanied by the candidate’s written consent, detailed curriculum vitae disclosing the candidate’s formal qualifications for appointment, the standard questionnaire completed and signed by the candidate, as well as copies of at least three written judgments by the candidate. . . .”
Nominations must reach the Secretariat of the JSC by no later than Friday 24 April 2015.
